PLAGIARISM CHECKING SERVICE
Oxford English Dictionary defines, "Plagiarism is considered as academic dishonesty. It is the action or practice of taking someone else's work, idea, etc., and passing it off as one's own; literary theft”.
DrillBit is similarity screening software. The College has subscribed to DrillBit, the anti-plagiarism software (https://www.drillbitplagiarism.com/).
- All the faculty members,research scholars and the students of the institution can send their research work, project work to the library to check the plagiarism.

- For the time being there are no submission limitations. However, single documents can be checked maximum 3 times only.
- The faculty members and the research scholars can send their thesis, research articles, conference/seminar papers, major and minor research projects of government as well as other public and private bodies, students’ assignments, dissertations/project works etc to the plagiarism check.
- An undertaking by every faculty and student during the submission of a thesis or any such documents to the College indicates that the document originally prepared by the faculty or student as well as duly checked through the DrillBit software.
- Follow the citation styles as prescribed by your research guide/department/college. Some globally followed citation styles are like APA, MLA, Chicago etc...
- Please combine all the chapters into one document (Introduction to Conclusion)
The library offers students, research scholars and faculty members a plagiarism checking service using a Drillbit tool. Drillbit is a web tool for originality checking and plagiarism prevention, allowing researchers to compare their content against the vast databases to ensure work is original before submission. The library has a paid license for this tool.
To perform the plagiarism check and to get the similarity report, please write to us at librariansac@staloysius.edu.in along with a copy of the thesis, dissertation, research article, reviews, assignment, etc. The file must be less than 100MB and it supports only the Word, Text, PDF, HTML, Excel, PowerPoint, and other document types.
Provide the clear information on Title, Authors(s), nature of paper (research, review, case study and etc.) and the keywords.
Plagiarism verification certificate will be available on request.
